9/11 taught us nothing

Or in short how we allowed terrorism to terrorize us, start wars, kill innocent people, burn religious texts and learn absolutely nothing in the process.

Sigh

MTLFRGLR - Keith J. Frank: So if our population is an estimated 310,205,998 why are we giving so...

metalfrog:

So if our population is an estimated 310,205,998 why are we giving so much fucking attention to a nut job and his congregation “that totals about fifty” people that want to burn a Quran? In this era of technology, something this insane spreads like wildfire, and I just don’t get it… Why…

THIS. Someone asked me my opinion on this the other day. “… extremist Christians that want to burn a Quran” about sums up my feelings. Also these same people would have a shit fit if a bible burning was going on.

I think it’s also important to realize that some of the innocent lives lost that day were Muslim Americans. Example: Salman Hamdani who was a New York City police cadet, part-time ambulance driver, incoming medical student, and devout Muslim. It’s believed he died helping as many people as he could. It’s pretty disrespectful to burn something that represents both this man and the other innocent lives lost that day..
